FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is an important part of our role in Shetland. One of the first fundraisers was the 'Bach for Bongo' concert in 2010 organised with the support of Nigel and Deirdre Hayward and an orchestra of local musicians.

For the last few years we've done some carol singing in Tesco just before Christmas with help from St Magnus Choir and members of Shetland Choral Society. We hope this becomes an annual event!

Our main fundraising activity during 2012 was an Art Auction in Lerwick which was supported by the donation of artwork from many artists and craftspeople in Shetland and raised over £2300.
